there are a lot of people smarter then me, who say you can't improve hp by adding a 15 hp carb to a 9.9 hp motor. I haven't done any real tests and I'm still rebuilding the 9.9 carb, but wow this boat feels a lot faster then before. Previously I was running a 2001 8 hp merc and was not going nearly as fast. I still have to tweak things, but I am loving this motor.
